Have you compared the same command outputs from Manjaro for any significant difference or hints? Maybe post them here if not sure?
This was for investigation to be sure we compare apple to apple when saying "it works well with OS A", and "bad with OS B".

The Bittorrent peer to peer system lets many users cooperatively download images at the same time, with minimal load on our servers. DVD images are only available for some architectures. Also offered as a new alternative to the standard images are live images which you can use to try Debian first and then install the contents of the image. Debian is available for different computer architectures - make sure you are getting images that match your computer!

How did you create installation medium? That could explain why you saw new packages after second installation, as first one was faulty. What do your logs say? There could be answers there for your issues. All changes done to Debian 10 are documented in release notes. It is same as ordinary Firefox, doesn't have newest features but has security fixes.
